Steering Wheel Heater Control Module: Service and Repair

AN46.11-P-0001-03GY Retrofit steering wheel heater control unit

Component Identification:

1 Attach bracket (1) to body with nuts (2).

If not present.

2 Clip in seat heater control unit, seat ventilation and steering wheel heater (N25/7) at bracket (1).
3 Connect electrical connector (3) to SIH control unit, seat ventilation and steering wheel heater (N25/7).
4 Route lilac/black line (4) from steering wheel heater wiring harness (5) along the veh.-wiring harness in cable duct (6) to right A pillar
5 Pull interior/cockpit connector (X18) apart and pin lilac/black line (4) into chamber 1.
6 Plug together interior / cockpit connector (X18) and connect.
7 Route red line (7) from steering wheel heater wiring harness (5) along the veh.-wiring harness in cable duct (6) to the cargo area fuse and relay box (F4).
8 Disconnect black, 10-pin coupling P2 (8) from cargo area fuse and relay box (F4).
9 Pin red line (7) from steering wheel heater wiring harness (5) into chamber 10 of black, 10-pin coupling P2 (8).
10 Connect black, 10-pin couplingP2 (8) into the cargo area fuse and relay box (F4).
11 To prevent noises, secure excess lines with cable tie.
