Vehicle Damage Warnings
CAUTION: Carefully observe service precautions1. Repairs with a/c system drained only.
2. With system drained, a slight residual pressure may be present when loosening some connections. Reduce pressure slowly prior to loosening connection completely.
3. When handling circuit, immediately close all openings airtight with closing plugs.
4. During assembly, make sure that all connections and sealing rings are in perfect condition. It is good to use new sealing rings for repairs. To avoid damage, moisten sealing surfaces and seals with special cold-flowing oil.
5. When tightening connections, apply counterhold with a wrench and tighten to specified torque. If not done, the connections are subject to early leaks..
6. Store all spare parts dry and closed.
7. Blow out refrigerant hoses, pipe lines, condensers and evaporators prior to installation with nitrogen or R12.
8. During assembly, remove closing plugs from components shortly prior to installation. This is important for filter drier (receiver drier). A receiver drier which is not closed is saturated quickly and becomes unfit for use.
