DIESEL PASSENGER CARS
INTRODUCTION
With the onset of the cold season, some diesel owners may be concerned about operational problems during the winter months. Satisfactory performance of a diesel engine operated in low ambient temperature conditions requires some simple preparations and adaptation of operating practices and maintenance procedures. Preparations made in advance of the winter and minor maintenance performed during the cold months, will help to assure efficient engine starting and operation.
This Service Information provides current, comprehensive information on "winterizing", starting and operation of our DIESEL passenger cars, It is strongly suggested that you familiarize all your service personnel with these guidelines so that customer inconvenience can be avoided.
REMEMBER: It is not very costly for the customer to follow these guidelines, but it can become expensive and inconvenient not to follow them.
