Coolant Temperature Sensor / Switch HVAC: Testing and Inspection

TESTING TEMPERATURE SWITCH FOR COLD ENGINE LOCK

The heater blower must not start up in heating mode (in-car temperature lower than temperature set on selector) at engine coolant temperatures below 33 °C in "EC" position or 37 °C in "normal setting" position.

The heater blower must start up after coolant temperature has reached 33 °C or 37 °C.

If blower fails to start, pull 1-pole coupling from switch (2) and connect to ground.

If heater blower starts after approx. 10s, renew temperature switch.
