Alternator: Service and Repair

Alternator Replacement:

1. Disconnect the negative battery terminal.

2. Loosen alternator pivot and adjusting hold down bolts.

3. Loosen the tension adjusting screw and remove the belt from the alternator pulley.

4. Disconnect the wires/connectors from the back of the alternator.

5. Remove the pivot and adjusting hold down bolts.

6. Remove the alternator from vehicle.

7. To install reverse removal procedures.
