A. LOCKING PIN FOR OIL DIPSTICK
In all models as of October 1993. a new oil dipstick with a red locking pin (6b, Figure 1) is installed to prevent topping up and the resultant overfilling of transmission fluid. The locking pin can, however, be removed for routine maintenance or repair work. Upon completion of the job and verification of proper fluid level, the locking pin must be replaced. Please note for all Model Year 1994 vehicles, the checking of automatic transmission fluid is no longer required as part of the Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI). In addition for model 202, checking of ATF (Maintenance Job No. 2710) during the maintenance and inspection service is not required.
Removal/replacement procedure
1. Break off locking pin (6b, Figure 1) in direction of arrow and remove both parts of locking pin from oil dipstick locking lever arm (6a). The locking lever arm (6a) is then hinged upward to release transmission oil dipstick (6).
2. After verifying correct transmission fluid level, insert transmission oil dipstick (6) with locking lever (6a) in the upward position. Pivot locking lever (6a) downward to secure transmission dipstick (as illustrated).
3. Insert a new locking pin (6b. Figure 1) completely to its detent in locking lever arm (6a) upon completion of the job.

Simultaneously, the bearing width (arrow, Figure 3) of both the inner bearing (2) and the clutch 2 carrier (79) have been increased.
Parts Information
Only the revised parts are available as spare parts. The revised clutch K2 is supplied with the modified clutch 2 carrier as well.
