Axle - (Rear) Installing Rubber Mount

When installing the rubber mount at the rear of the differential housing, only use the bracket with the pressed-in solid metal lock nut (arrow, Figure 1). The bracket and hex. bolt must be replaced each time the rubber mount is removed.

Repair Note

Always use a standard M8 x 30 hex. bolt with this type of bracket. Tightening torque is 30 N-m.

CAUTION! Under no circumstances
should a self-locking hex. bolt be screwed into this bracket . Using a self locking bolt in the lock nut results in a friction torque almost equal to the tightening torque causing an insufficiently tightened rubber mount.
