Parking Brake System: Adjustments

123 & 201 SERIES

1. Loosen adjusting screw, ensure expanding locks are not preloaded, if equipped.
2. Loosen each left and right collar bolt at rear axle.
3. Raise and support vehicle.
4. Turn wheel until bolt hole from which the collar bolt was removed is approximately 45° in forward or upward direction on 123 series or 45° rearward upper direction on 201 models.
5. Insert a suitable screwdriver through brake disc and rear axle flange and into adjusting star. Turn adjusting star until star can no longer be turned.
6. Turn adjusting star back 2-3 teeth. Turn adjusting star as follows:
a. Left side, from bottom to top.
b. Right side, from top to bottom.
