Remove/Install

Removing Control Unit:
1. Disconnect battery.
2. Remove radio.
3. Remove option switch.






4. Unscrew screws (61) and carefully pull wooden cover panel on underside (refer to arrow) out of center console.






5. Loosen screws (82), puil out control unit in forward direction and remove lamps for instrument lights from control unit.






6. Pull 12-point plug, left and right, from control unit.

Installing
1. Mount 12-point plugs at left and right, as well as lamps for instrument lights.






2. Install control unit in holder and mount provisionally with screws (62).






Note: Installation is considerably facilitated by a self-made installation gauge (Fig.), part no. 126 680 83 39. Mount installation gauge similar to wooden cover plate.






3. Insert wooden cover panel into center console as well as control unit and mount by means of screws (61).
4. Install option switch.
5. Install radio.
6. Connect battery.
7. Check automatic climate control for function.
