Int. Ticking In Valve Gear from Idling Speed to Mid Engine RPM
Cause/Remedy:
Valve spring rubs against cylinder head. The contact point is usually on the 4th and 8th cylinder exhaust valve spring.
Remove valve spring and grind off projecting portion on cylinder head not on the valve spring
In order to avoid the rubbing action, cylinder heads with greater recess are installed since June 1982.
