Variant Code Information For Control Module N15/3





Transmission control module variant code (engine, chassis and rear axle ratio) is factory programmed during production.

If confirming that transmission control modules N15/3 is correctly coded, please refer to the variant code chart and information listed below.

Replacement transmission control modules are delivered from PDC inventory completely uncoded.

Unlike some engine management control modules (ie: HFM). transmission variant code TCM coding) can not be entered via Hand Held Tester (HHT) numerical key pad.

Transmission variant code can only be transferred (copied) from control original control module to replacement control module using HHT.

HHT variant code readout of may be an indication that control module is in test mode or does not have any variant code activated.

NOTE: If it is required to variant code transmission control module N15/3 and original control module is unavailable, damaged or incorrectly coded:

1. Locate a "like vehicle" (ie: exactly the same model vehicle) with correctly coded transmission control module.
2. copy variant code into HHT from correctly coded transmission control module.
3. Following HHT display instructions connect replacement or incorrectly coded control module.
4. Transfer correct variant code via HHT into replacement or incorrectly coded control module.
5. Install correctly coded control module into original vehicle with variant code problem.
