Fuel Delivery and Air Induction: Service and Repair

1. Loosen the fuel outlet fitting on the fuel filter housing. Loosen actuating button on manual delivery pump and operate the hand pump until fuel flows out of the filter free of air. Tighten fuel fitting.
2. Continue operating hand pump until the injection pump overflow valve opens. This can be known by an audible buzzing noise when the valve opens.
3. Tighten the actuating button of the manual delivery pump. Start and run the engine to check for fuel leaks.
