Due to updated information received on M.Y. 1987 models 124.133/193, the following revisions should be made to the above-mentioned Introduction Manual:

74 The oil filter cover illustrated in Figure 18/3 applies only to
a few early production model 124.133 vehicles. Model 124.193 and later production of model 124.133 are equipped with an oil filter cover having a removeable oil return pipe. Refer to Service information MBNA 18/4 for additional information and procedure for modifying early production model 124.133 vehicles.
106 Vacuum Pump. The applicable models should read:

130 A. Testing compressor clutch. Point 1 should read:
Switch ignition on, depress "Normal setting" on pushbutton control unit, and set temperature wheel to "MIN" (fully to stop)

A. Additional Central Locking Feature at Tailgate, Model 124.193
There is an additional central locking feature at the tailgate previously not explained in the Owner's Manual.
1. When engaging the central locking system from the tailgate, the tailgate will remain locked when unlocking the car from either frcnt door. The tailgate can only be unlocked by turning the master key in the tailgate lock approximately 90~ to the left (Figure 1).

2. To allow the tailgate to be unlocked via either front door when locking the vehicle at the tailgate, turn the master key in the tailgate lock approximately 90~ to the right (Figure 2).

2a. Then turn the key to the left approximately 45~ past the normal position where a slight resistance can be felt (Figure 3).

2b. Remove key after allowing it to return to the normal position (Figure 4).
Caution! When the tailgate is locked as described in steps 2a and 2b, the alarm system will be deactivated.
B. Individual Rear Seat Adjustment in Models 126 with Four Place Seating
The procedure for adjusting the individual rear seats as described in the Owner's Manual is incorrect. The seats can only be adjusted with the key in steering lock positions 1 or 2 regardless of the driver's door being open or closed.
