Parking Brake System: Adjustments


107, 124 & 126 SERIES

1. Loosen each left and right shouldered bolt from rear axle.
2. Raise and support vehicle.
3. Rotate wheel until threaded hole, from which the shouldered bolt has been removed, faces forward and up at approximately a 45° angle on models with diagonal swing axle or exactly forward for models with diagonal swing axle and starting torque compensation.
4. Insert a suitable screwdriver through hole of wheel rim brake disc and rear axle shaft flange. Engage screwdriver with adjustment star and turn adjusting star until adjusting star can no longer be turned. Turn back adjusting star 2-3 turns. Turn adjusting star as follows:
a. Models with diagonal swing axle, (left side), from bottom to top.
b. Models with diagonal swing axle, (right side), from top to bottom.
c. Models with diagonal swing axle and starting torque compensation, (left side), from back to front.
d. Models with diagonal swing axle and starting torque compensation, (right side), from front to back.
