Magnetic Clutch of Refrigerant Compressor Not Connecting
COMPLAINT:
Magnetic clutch of refrigerant compressor not connecting.
Cause/Remedy:
a) System not adequately filled with refrigerant (R 12) (or leaking) or pressure switch (27) defective.
Pull electric lines from pressure switch (27) and connect to each other.
If magnetic clutch attracts, check system for leaks. If clutch does not attract, check for voltage at one of the two flat plugs. If there is no voltage, eliminate interruption according to wiring diagram.
b) Fuse blown.
Renew fuse, eliminate short, if applicable.
c) ETR-switch (29) defective. Check ETR-switch, renew
d) Relay (with code no.12) for refrigerant compressor defective.
Renew relay.
e) Control unit interrupted.
Push a b or c pushbutton and check whether plus is applied to lefthand coupling terminal 12 input (black/red) and to righthand coupling terminal 6 output (black/red) of control unit. If there is no plus at output, renew control unit.
f) Outside temperature < 2 °C.
No fault, since refrigerant compressor connects only at outside temperatures > 4 °C by way of ETR-switch.
