Heating/Ventilation
Arrangement of air intake with grille
The fresh air intake is positioned in the middle concealed in front of the windshield (keep clear of snow), thereby reducing the ram pressure effect compared to Type 116.
Arrangement of air extraction system with non-return valves
The exhaust air from the passenger compartment passes through openings in the rear parcel shelf and through ducts in the trunk, ventilating the latter and keeping it cool in summer when the air conditioning is used as well as warm In winter. The air is extracted through openings with non-return valves positioned on the left and right side in the trunk concealed by the bumper. A slight vacuum exists in this area between bumper and bodywork. The design of the air extraction system ensures that a vacuum cannot be created in the passenger compartment even at high cruising speeds.
