14-91041 "Check Engine" Warning lamp (California Model 124.051 4/91
Only) or Malfunction Code 11 Comes On Due
to Vacuum Hose Damaged by Battery Acid

Cause:
Battery acid damages the portion of the vacuum hose for the air injection control system which is routed underneath the battery.

Remedy:
Following an appropriate repair (e.g. check vacuum/electrical Systems), replace the 600 mm (23-1/2 in.) acid-proof protective sleeve with a new one of 1200 mm (47 in.) length.
