Remove/Install Electromagnetic Clutch

Data:
Fan and fan shroud
- remove, install.
Poly V-belt
- remove, install.
Spring plate (61)
- remove with pin wrench 000 589 00 05 00
- check gap 0.5 - 0.15 mm, correct with shims (62).
- Tighten to 16 ± 1.0 Nm (observe notes).
Circlip (63)
- use circlip pliers (outside) to remove, install.
Poly V-belt pulley (65)
- use plastic hammer to knock off, on.

NOTE: If the old V-belt pulley is being reinstalled, then the surface of the V-belt pulley should be cleaned. If damage is present on the contact surface (e.g., due to overheating) then the V-belt pulley must be replaced together with the spring plate.

Circlip (69)
- remove, install.
Magnetic coil (71)
- remove, install by opening, closing plug housing on a/c compressor (observe note). Disconnect magnetic coil negative line from the a/c compressor.

NOTE: Install the magnetic coil over the guide pin. The tapered surface of the circlip must be toward the outside.

- check. approx. nominal value
hot 3.75 A
cold 4.20 A
Air conditioner
- check function. Testing and Inspection

Notes on Spring Plate (61):






Pin wrench 000 589 00 05 00






Spring plate installed on compressor shaft
- Tighten bolt to 16 ± 1.0 Nm.
- Use feeler gauge to check gap, use shims to correct.

Notes on Magnetic Coil (71)






- Turn out both screws (arrows) to upon plug housing.
- Remove line to magnetic coil.
