D. Dual Heating Water Valve and Heating Water Circulation

8 Dual heating water valve up to 10/81


The dual heating water valve (8) controls the water flow to the heat exchanger. The heating water pump (10) is arranged next to the dual heating water valve and maintains an even flow of heating water through the heat exchanger at low engine speeds. Electrical control is by means of the electronic switching unit.

8 Dual heating water valve starting 11/81


Since November 1981 sedans and coupes of series 126, lefthand steering version, are provided with a surface heat exchanger as standard equipment, which heats a part of the windshield glass during cold winter temperatures. This will prevent that ice or snow deposits remain on settling range of windshield wiper on wind-shield glass while driving.
