Cold Start Injector: Service and Repair

Cold Start Valve Location:

1. Disconnect the NEG. battery terminal and insulate.
2. Remove the air cleaner assembly.
3. Slowly loosen, and remove the fuel supply line connecting the cold start injector. Catch any loose fuel with a cloth.

WARNING: Fuel may be under high pressure.

4. Carefully move the fuel supply line aside.
5. Remove the mounting screws for the cold start injector and lift out the injector.
6. Reinstall in reverse manner.
7. Run the engine and check for fuel leaks.
