Shift Complaints After Changing Large Intermediate Plate Gasket

Complaint description:
No upshift or unusual shift-points (early vs. late) after exchanging gasket for large intermediate plate.

Cause:
Incorrect large intermediate plate and gasket combination.

1. Gasket should never have all three bores A, B and C on the same gasket (Figures 1 and 2).
- It is permissible to have bores A and B (Figure 1).
- It is permissible to have bore C (Figure 2).
- It is NEVER correct to have all three bores A, B, and C.

2. Prior to gasket installation, carefully inspect gasket to large intermediate plate.
- The large intermediate plate can cover a bore in the gasket.
- The gasket can NEVER cover a bore in large intermediate plate.

Caution: Whenever changing large intermediate plate gasket, please observe critical attention to points 1 and 2 listed above.
