3 Tighten screws on upper part of engine hood lock.
C. Height adjustment
1 Remove inner fender in front fender (88-130).
2 Loosen counter nut on stop buffer (arrow).
3 The stop buffers must be adjusted so that the bottom edge of the engine hood is flush with the upper edge of the recess for the turn signals.
4 Move engine hood to vertical position (90) and unhook spring (arrow) on engine hood hinge.
5 Close engine hood.
6 Loosen both rear nuts (13) on engine hood hinge.
NOTE: Do not loosen front nuts; otherwise adjustment in longitudinal direction changes.
7 Adjust engine hood so that upper edge of engine hood at rear is flush with the upper edge of the front fender, then tighten nuts on engine hood hinge.
8 Move engine hood to vertical position (90°) and hook spring into engine hood hinge.
9 Close engine hood and check height.
10 Adjust engine hood locks by adjusting upper parts of engine hood lock (19) so that engine hood locks catch properly.
NOTE: Adjust upper part of engine hood locks only in longitudinal direction, otherwise the lateral adjustment of the engine hood changes.
11 Install inner fender in front fender (88-130).
