88-905 Removal And Installation Of Outside Mirror










A. Mirror glass

Removal, installation







1 Press mirror glass out with plastic wedge, disconnect plug for mirror heater.

NOTE: The mirror glass can only be installed when the drive tappets for the electric drive are retracted and aligned for acceptance of the mirror glass.







2 Connect plugs for mirror heater.
3 Install in opposite order (mirror should catch audibly, arrows).







B. Outside mirror, complete

Removal, installation
4 Unclip cover and pull out toward top.







5 Unscrew or disconnect electrical connections.
6 Screw out screws and remove mirror.
7 Install in opposite order.







C. Frame

Removal, installation
8 Swing outdoor mirror back and secure with tool (self-made).







9 Unclip frame with screwdriver and press off of mirror housing.
10 Install in opposite order.







D. Cover
Frame removed

Removal, installation
11 Press cover off of mirror housing.
12 Install in opposite order.







E. Cap
Frame and cover removed.

Removal, installation
13 Screw off outside mirror.
14 Press off cap and remove over mirror housing.
15 Install in opposite order.







F. Electric drive
Outside mirror screwed off, mirror glass removed.

Removal, installation
16 Pull off rubber seal.

NOTE: On mirrors with memory disassemble plug.







17 Press holding plate off of mirror triangle and screw out plug.







18 Screw out screw and remove electric drive.
19 Install in opposite order.
