A Bypass Mode
The coolant flows from the cylinder head through the coolant pump to the crankcase.

B Mixed Mode
The coolant flows partly through the mediator and partly through the coolant pump to the crankcase.

C Cooling Mode
The coolant flows through the radiator and the coolant pump to the crankcase.
