Check and Adjust Front Caster and Camber

NOTE: Numbers in parentheses ( ) indicate a component or tool in the associated illustration.

1. Check vehicle level at the front and rear axle, refer to Suspension.





2. Install measuring device for caster (04a) tool No. 201 589 02 21 00, or equivalent, in the positioning points on the steering knuckle.
3. Check camber and caster.
- Models with Adaptive Damping System (ADS)
- Camber with 0° toe in: 0°50' (-10' / +20')
- Caster with 0° toe in: 10°25' ±30'
- Caster with wheels turned: 9°55' ±30'
- Models less ADS:
- Camber with 0° toe in: 0°35' (-20' / +10')
- Caster with 0° toe in: 10°15' ±30'
- Caster with wheels turned: 9°55' ±30'





4. Fully loosen and tighten the bracket/stabilizer bar (22b) on the wishbones





5. Adjust camber (front cam bolt. l9) and caster (rear cam bolt, 20) on the mount of

NOTE:
^ The wheel spreader must not be used during camber and caster adjustments.
^ If the specified value of camber or caster cannot be reached check the upper wishbone, steering knuckle and body for accident damage, as well as the supporting joints and follower

6. When adjustments are complete, tighten as follows:
- Nut of Stabilizer bar bracket: 20 Nm
- Nut of cam bolt: 120 Nm
