Fuel Distributor

Fuel Distributor Removal:





1. Remove the air cleaner assembly and attached hoses.
2. Remove the fuel supply and return lines.
3. Remove the injection lines from the fuel distributor and fuel injectors.
4. Remove the mounting screws.
5. Remove the fuel distributor (it may be necessary to work the distributor out using a back and forth twisting effort).
6. Using a new rubber seal reinstall the fuel distributor. Do not reinstall the injection lines.

Basic Control Piston Adjusting:





SETTING THE BASIC ADJUSTMENT

WARNING: Disable the ignition system and prevent fuel from coming into contact with hot engine components.

7. Remove the MAS control unit and bridge terminals 1 and 2 to activate the fuel pumps.
8. With the adjusting screw adjust the mixture control unit so that fuel begins to flow from the fuel distributor injection line outlets when depressing the air flow sensor plate slightly.
9. Reinstall the fuel injection lines and air cleaner assembly. (Tighten injection lines to approx. 7 - 11 ft. lbs).
10. Warm the engine up to normal operating temperature.
11. Adjust the air/fuel mixture to specification. Refer to SPECIFICATIONS.
