Removing and Installing Fuel Level Gauge Sensor

Removing, installing
DANGER: Risk of explosion from fuel igniting, risk of poisoning from inhaling and swallowing fuel as well as risk of injury to eyes and skin from contact with fuel.
- No fire, sparks, naked flame and smoking Pour fuels only into suitable and appropriately marked vessels Wear protective clothing when handling fuel.
1 If fuel tank is full, pump out about 8 liters of fuel

2 Disconnect connector (arrow) from fuel gauge sensor (B4)
- Secure electric leads against slipping down
3 Unscrew sealing flange and fuel gauge sensor (B4)
Refer to Fuel Tank below
Float and lever-type sensor replaces immersion tube sensor
4 Remove hard top
5 Close soft top so that it is completely folded out of soft top compartment (1) and the soft top compartment cover (1) is still open
6 Take out fuel gauge sensor (B4)
7 Install in the reverse order
8 Replace O-rings
NOTE: Oil to facilitate installation
