Cranking Engine With Starter

NOTE: Numbers in parentheses ( ) indicate a component or tool in the associated illustration.

1. Ignition switch OFF.
2. Remove cover (1) over component compartment panel.
3. Unplug connector (X27).
4. Connect clamp (A) of compression pressure recorder 001 589 77 21 00 at pin 1 of connector (S).
5. Open cover at connector (X4/10).
6. Connect clamp (B) of compression pressure recorder to terminal block (X4/10)
7. Crank engine by pressing contact handle (arrow) on compression pressure recorder in idle speed position and parking brake applied.

CAUTION: Do not crank engine at ignition/starter switch.
