Warning when driver not wearing seat belt
If the driver's seat belt is not fastened after starting the ignition, a warning tone 4-8 seconds. The warning tone is not sounds for activated or is not switched on if the driver puts on the seat belt and fastens the buckle. If the seat belt buckle is fastened, terminal 1 of the seat belt and vehicle speed warning control module N2/4 is grounded via the left front seat belt buckle and belt reminder switch S68/1.

Seat belt reminder lamp
The seat belt/backrest lock reminder lamp (A1e9) is integrated into the instrument cluster (A1) to remind the driver to fasten the seat belt. The lamp flashes for approx. 5 seconds after starting the engine irrespective of whether the driver has fastened the seat belt or not. The reminder lamp is actuated via terminal 15 and the electronic circuit of the instrument cluster. If the backrest is not locked the reminder lamp (A1e9) lights up in the instrument cluster (A1) for longer than 5 seconds. After approx. 20 seconds an intermittent warning tone is generated by the left or right backrest lock safety package (N32/7 or N32/8).

Vehicle speed warning
When the vehicle reaches a speed of 120 to 130 km/h, a warning buzzer sounds.
The seat belt and vehicle speed warning control module (N2/4) is actuated by the radio/speed signal connector (1-pin) (A2x1), terminal 15 in the fuse and relay box (F1) fuse 5 and the main ground (W1) behind the instrument cluster (A1).
