SRS Triggering Logic

Front passenger seat occupied recognition sensor with automatic child seat recognition occupied as follows:

Seat not occupied:
- Front passenger seat not occupied
- Child seat without transponder installed (weight of 12 kg/12O mm dia. not exceeded)

Seat occupied:
- Front passenger seat occupied (weight of 12 kg/120 mm dia. exceeded)

Child seat not recognized:
- No MB child seat with transponder
- MB child seat with transponder not correctly installed or defective.

Child seat recognized:
- MB child seat with transponder

The signal "child seat recognized" has priority over the signal "seat occupied" (in the event that the weight of child seat exceeds 12 kg/120 mm dia.)
