CD CHANGER INSTALLATION
MODEL 126
A. Installation of Mounting Hardware
1. Remove contents from shipping box and verify against parts information list.
2. Remove the trunk wheel well liner on the right side. Open and secure the spare tire cover and remove the spare tire.

3. Place the mounting bracket (2, Figure 2) on the edge of the rail of the wheel well so that the edge of the bracket is 220 mm (8.5 in.) from the rear panel of the trunk (Figure 1). Mark the location of two horizontal and three vertical mounting holes, center punch the markings and drill 5 mm holes (Figure 2).
4. Paint the holes with zinc paint and fasten the mounting assembly using five 6.3x16 mm sheet metal screws (Figures 1 and 2).
5. Install the CD changer shell (1) to the mounting bracket (2) using four 5x10 mm bolts (Figure 2).
6. Clean all debris from the drilling.
7. Remove the long shipping screws from the CD changer and install them in two of the four storage holes on the bottom of the CD changer. Loosely install the lower two (short) 5 mm mounting bolts.
B. Wiring and Cable Connection
1. Remove the radio bus cable (white connector) from the radio tuner/amplifier, add the bus extension cable and connect to the CD changer (white socket) connection marked "Frontgeraet".
2. Connect the CD changer bus cable (black connector) to the CD changer (white socket marked with black dot) connection marked "Tuner", and the other end to the radio.(the socket which was freed in the previous step)
3. Remove the power supply cable and add the Y-piece/extension. Connect short end of Y-piece/extension to radio power socket and long end to CD changer power socket.
4. Place the CD changer on the spare tire compartment and neatly secure all cables using wire loom ties (not supplied).
5. Reinstall the wheel well liner.
C. CD Changer Installation
1. Slide the CD changer in the mounting shell, guide the lower mounting bolts in the mounting slots until they are properly seated.
Note:
The arrow on top of the CD changer has to point toward the front of the vehicle.
2. Install the upper two mounting bolts and secure finger tight.Make sure that the CD changer is properly seated in the shell. Fasten all mounting bolts.
3. Install the CD changer protective cover.
4. Reinstall spare tire and close the spare tire compartment.
D. Testing the Operation of the CD Changer
1. Familiarize yourself with the CD player operation.
2. Insert a CD in the magazine.
3. Open the CD changer door and insert the CD magazine. Close the CD changer door.
4. Turn the radio on and, using the CD changer "mode" button, select the CD playing mode. The radio will begin to play and the display will indicate "CD" mode, track # and the CD #.
5. Follow the radio/CD instructions in the operating manual to verify the CD player/changer features.
E. Useful Hints
1. In the event that there is no audio, check whether the CD changer and radio receiver bus cables are installed correctly at the CD changer.
2. If the CD changer is not responding, check whether the CD is inserted correctly in the CD magazine.
