CD CHANGER INSTALLATION
MODEL 201

A. Installation of Mounting Hardware

1. Remove hardware from shipping box and verify the content.

2. Remove shipping screws (2) from CD changer and install them in storage place (1). Cover the holes with adhesive dust covers (Figure 1).

3. Remove the trunk floor mat and the wheel well liner on the right side.

4. Place CD changer bracket B (3) alongside the outer edge of the spare wheel compartment. The rear edge of the bracket should be 130 mm (5 in.) from the rear wall of the trunk (Figure 2).

5. Mark the location of the three outer mounting holes, center punch the markings, drill three 3-5 mm holes and paint them with zinc paint.

6. Clean all debris from the drilling.

7. Assemble brackets (2 and 3) for later installation on the CD changer (1) using three 4 x 6 mm bolts (Figure 2).

8. Install side brackets (4) on the CD changer using two 4 x 6 mm bolts on each side (Figures 3 and 4).

9. Locate the CD changer power and signal bus cables and lay them out on top of the spare tire compartment.

10. Re-install the wheel well liner.

11. Install the CD changer bracket assembly using the three 5 mm sheet metal screws and washers.

B. Wiring and Cable Connection

1. Remove the radio (job no. 82-0501).

2. Locate the CD changer bus cable. Plug in the bus cable in the respective socket in the radio. Re-install the radio.

3. Place the CD changer on the trunk floor near the support bracket.

4. Locate the power and bus sockets on the CD changer and connect the mating plugs of the cables prepared, see step 9 in section "A".

5. Reinstall the trunk floor mat.

C. CD Changer Installation

1. Carefully lift and slide the CD changer with installed side brackets (4) into the left and right side channels of the bracket assembly (3 and 4). Ensure that the CD changer is properly seated in the support bracket (Figure 2).

2. Fasten the CD changer to the support bracket using the two 5 x 10 mm bolts (arrows, Figure 4).

3. Install CD changer protective cover.

D. Testing the Operation of the CD Changer

1. Familiarize yourself with the CD player operation.

2. Insert a CD in the magazine.

3. Open the CD changer door and insert the CD magazine. Close the CD changer door.

4. Turn the radio on and, using the CD changer "mode" button, select the CD playing mode. The radio will begin to play and the display will indicate "CD" mode, track # and the CD #.

5. Follow the radio/CD instructions in the operating manual to verify the CD player/changer features.

E. Useful Hints

1. In the event that there is no audio, check whether the CD changer and radio receiver bus cables are

Installed correctly at the CD changer.

2. If the CD changer is not responding, check whether the CD is inserted correctly in the CD magazine.
