68-100 Removal And Installation Of Instrument Panel





Special Tool:









Installation note
Before installing the instrument panel attach the clips for the sheet metal screws on the left and right of the console.







Install duct between heater box and side nozzle on right.

Removal
1 Unhook control cable for parking brake on release handle.
2 Remove release handle and housing.
3 Remove air hose for left side nozzle.







4 Disconnect vacuum line on element for glove compartment lock cylinder.
5 Disconnect plug connectors on both loudspeakers.







6 Screw out screw on left and right in loudspeaker cut-out.







7 Screw out the 3 screws in cut-out for instrument cluster.







8 Screw out screw on left on plug-in clamp.
9 Remove covering for combination switch.
10 Remove ignition key.







11 Lift instrument panel and first pull back on passenger side while moving ignition lock and steering column cover upward and out.
12 Remove instrument panel. Observe installation note.







Installation
13 First insert instrument panel on driver's side, then insert air connections to heater box. To do this insert ignition lock and upper steering column cover or lift over the steering column.
14 Push on and right air hoses on the outside, left and right, and on the heater box, bottom right.







15 Screw in screw on left and right loudspeaker cut-out.
16 Install and adjust center console while exposing lines and plugs.







17 Fasten center console at rear.







18 Fasten center console at front top.







19 Screw in the 3 screws in area of instrument cluster.







20 Screw in screw on left on plug-in clamp.
21 Continue to install in opposite order.
22 Perform function check.
