Oil Level Sensor: Testing and Inspection
If The Following Complaints Exist:
A. When key in position "2" indicator lamp (9) does not light up.
B: When engine oil at "max." level and engine running indicator lamp (a) remains on.
C: When engine oil at "max." level and engine running (a) indicator lamp (a) lights up intermittently.
Test Condition
Engine oil temperature: greater than 60°C
Battery voltage: 12 V
Test For Complaint "A"
Indicator lamp (e) does not light up when key in position "2" (requirement: voltage supply of instrument exists).
Complaint "A" Testing:
Test For Complaint "B"
When engine oil at "max." level and engine running, indicator lamp (a) remains on.

Test Data
Resistance of oil level sensor at "max." oil level: less than 0.10 ohms.
Resistance of oil level sensor at "min." oil level: Infinite ohms.
