Note On Shift Points In Selector Lever Positions "2" And "3"
In vehicles with 6 cylinder gasoline or diesel engines. The 1-2 upshift in driving position "2" occurs only at the maximum engine speed with the accelerator at the full throttle stop. In 8 cylinder engines, the upshift also occurs at part load. To simplify matters, the shift points in selector lever positions "2" and "3" are no longer listed.
