Compression Check: Testing and Inspection

Perform compression test with engine at normal operating temperature, glow plugs or injection nozzles removed, throttle valve open and battery fully charged. Normal compression pressure should measure 377-464 psi. Minimum compression pressure should be 261 psi. Maximum permissible difference between individual cylinders should not exceed 44 psi.
