Fuel Pump: Service and Repair

Replacement Procedure:





- Remove air cleaner cover.
- Disconnect fuel lines at suction side (89) and delivery side (82).
- Unscrew nuts (3c) and take off washer (3b).
- Take off fuel pump (3). Collect engine oil which flows out.
- Installation is reverse of removal. Replace gasket (3a).

Check leak tightness of all connection points, check with engine running.

NOTE: The fuel system is bled automatically when starting engine.
