Component Tests and General Diagnostics
The signal of the infrared transmitter keys or of the infrared spare keys can be rendered visible using an infrared indicator card (e.g. IR-A2, available from the electronics trade, e.g. Conrad Elektronik). The indicator card must first of all be charged in daylight. After this, hold the indicator card in a darkened room directly in front of the transmission line of the infrared transmitter key and press the transmit button. If the infrared transmitter key transmits a signal. This is recognizable from the green dot-shaped illuminated area in the indicator field.
Whether a signal transmitted by the infrared key reaches the infrared control module can also be checked as stated in the diagnosis manual (test step IR signal control cable).
NOTE: It is not possible to determine whether the signal transmitted is correctly coded (lock system number).
