Fuel Level Sensor: Service and Repair
WARNING: Risk of explosion. Pay attention to accident prevention regulations.
If fuel tank is full, pump out about 8 liters of fuel. Service and Repair
1. Remove trim panel for fuel tank in trunk.
2. Unplug coupling (arrow) for fuel gauge sender (B4). Secure electric cable to prevent it slipping off.
3. Unbolt sealing flange (48/1) and fuel gauge sender (B4).
NOTE: Lever sender replaces immersed pipe sender. Application and ID
Unbolt bayonet lock of fuel gauge sender (B4).
4. Take out fuel gauge sender (B4).
5. Install in reverse order.
6. Replace "O" rings (48/2, 48/3, 48/4). Oil to facilitate installation.

Tightening Torques
Sealing flange and fuel gauge sender to fuel tank - 40 Nm.
