Disassembling And Assembling Front Wheel Hub







1 Remove front wheel hub.
2 Using drift (05a)
- knock out inner tapered roller bearing (91) and radial seal ring (9a)
3 Using drift (05a)
- knock out bearing race of outer tapered roller bearing (9c)
4 Pull bearing race of inner tapered roller bearing (9b) out of front wheel hub using extractor (05)
5 Clean tapered roller bearing and front wheel hub
6 Check tapered roller bearings and bearing races
7 Check front wheel hub Check tapped holes and rotor teeth for damage
8 Pull bearing races (9b, 9c) into front wheel hub using installer (05b, 05c)
9 Insert inner tapered roller bearing (91) into front wheel hub
- Grease tapered roller bearing before installing
10 Pull radial seal ring (9a) into front wheel hub as far as the stop using installer. Coat contact surface of radial seal ring with grease and pack space between lip and dust lip with grease.
11 Pack wheel hub with grease
12 Insert outer tapered roller bearing into front wheel hub
- Grease tapered roller bearing before installing
13 Install front wheel hub
