Variable Induction Control Actuator: Description and Operation

Resonance Intake Manifold Switchover Valve (Y22/6) And Flap (22) Unit:

PURPOSE
The HFM-SFI control module controls the resonance intake manifold flap via the resonance intake manifold switchover valve (Y22/6). The switchover valve connects the resonance flap to vacuum from the throttle valve assembly.

OPERATION
When the HFM-SFI control module energizes the switchover valve, the valve opens and vacuum reaches the resonance flap. The flap controls the airflow in the intake manifold.
