Oil Level Sensor: Service and Repair

Removal and Installation:

NOTE: Numbers in parentheses ( ) indicate a component or tool in the associated illustration.

1. Remove bottom engine compartment panel.
2. Partially drain engine oil.





3. Unplug coupling (2) at oil level sensor (S43).
4. Remove oil level sensor (S43).

NOTE: The oil level sensor (S43) is attached with see tapping screws. If the oil pan is replaced, fit on oil level sensor (S43) with self tapping screws (20 mm long, previously 25 mm long).

5. Replace O-ring (1).
6. Run engine and check for leaks.
