With Memory

Model 210/(except 210.081/281) up to 28.2.97 with code (275a) Memory package (driver's seat, steering column, mirror)

The outside rearview mirror adjustment switch (S21s6/S21s7/S21s8) is integrated into the center console switch group (S21).

Adjustment:
- Turn ignition key to position 2
- Turn switch (S21s8) to the mirror to be adjusted (left or right)
- Outside rearview mirror up/down (S21s6)
- Outside rearview mirror in-out (S21s7)

NOTE: If the mirror housing has been disengaged with force, it must be reengaged with high pressure. The familiar mechanical fold-in/out feature to the front or rear after providing a certain resistance has been maintained.

General
Both outside rearview mirrors (M21/4 or M21/5) are electrically adjustable and heated.
In combination with the seat memory the positions of both outside rearview mirrors (M21/4 and M21/5) can be stored. The mirror heater and a thermostat are located on the rear of the mirror glass to which they are permanently connected. The thermostat switches the heater on and off depending on the temperature.

The outside rearview mirrors are convex increasing the field of vision.

! Accident hazard!
The image in the outside rearview mirrors is smaller due to the curvature so that objects appear to be further away than they actually are.

Function of outside rearview mirror heater
The heater is ready for operation when the ignition key is turned to position 2 (terminal 15).

The heater is switched on by the thermostat when the temperature of the mirror glass is < = 15 °C. The heater remains on up to a mirror glass temperature of > = 25 °C.

This procedure is repeated until the temperature of the mirror glass remains > = 15 °C.

Power consumption
Switch-on current < = 4 amperes
Continuous current > = 1.5 amperes

Network
The outside rearview mirrors (M21/4) and (M21/5) are controlled by the switch for outside rearview mirror adjustment (S21s6/S21s7/S21s8) via the multi-function control module (N10)

Function prerequisites
The prerequisites for adjustment of the outside rearview mirrors are:
- Power supply t.30C and t.31B on multifunction control module (N10)
- No undervoltage or overvoltage and
- t.15R on or
- convenience feature 15R30 on (with driver and /or passenger door open for max. 5 minutes).

The position of the outside rearview mirrors is sensed by a potentiometer on each of the motors for the adjustment functions.
