Task
Controlling the modulating pressure vacuum unit

Function
The AT/CC modulating pressure switchover valve (Y3/4) is actuated by the IFI control module (N3/7) or the DFI control module (N3/8) when the cruise control is operating. As a result, the armature plate (a) is attracted by the electric magnet (d) and the rubber seal (f) closes off connection 1. In the deenergized state, the spring (b) pushes the armature plate (a) and rubber seal (f) against connection 2 and closes it off.
- Signal from control module:
Connections (2) and (3) linked - air admitted to modulated pressure vacuum unit
- No signal from control module:
Connections (1) and (3) linked - vacuum at modulating pressure vacuum unit
