Procedures

REMOVAL

WARNING:
^ Risk of scalding as a result of hot coolant spraying out
^ Do not open the cap of the expansion reservoir or radiator unless the coolant temperature is below 90°C.
^ Carefully turn cap to the first detent or slowly about 1/2 turn.
^ Wear protective clothing.






- Remove radiator (6), refer to Cooling System.





Loosen coolant pump belt pulley bolts as follows, with the poly V-belt installed attach counter holder. Service and Repair
Remove belt, then belt pulley of coolant pump (10)
- Install plate for blocking crankshaft/ring gear (11), refer to Installing/Removing Crankshaft Retaining Lock. [1][2]Procedures
Use 6 x 90 mm bolts (12) (supplied) otherwise the threads in the rear end cover will be damaged
- Press up in order to remove the tensioning pulley (7)
- Unscrew central bolt (2) with washer (3)
- Pull off belt pulley/vibration damper (1c)

INSTALLATION
- Install in the reverse order, noting the following:
Inspect hub at belt pulley/vibration damper (1c) for grooves caused by wear
If a groove resulting from the radial seal can be felt, replace front crankshaft radial seal and install in repair position. [1][2]Procedures
Align parallel key (8); fix in place with grease if necessary. Turn to ensure that the groove is aligned with the parallel key in the crankshaft.
Tighten central bolt of pulley/vibration damper (1c) in two stages to:
1st stage: 200 Nm
2nd stage: turn 90°
