The door contact switch signal travels from the pneumatic system equipment (PSE) (A37) via the CAN data bus to the multifunction control module (N10). This control module controls the front dome lamp with reading lamp (E15/2) as well as the rear dome lamp (E15/3) and the entrance/exit lamps (E17/3, E17/4, E17/5, E17/6).

After a switch-on time of 5 min. the multifunction control module (N10) switches off the lamps when the door is open and the switch is in the "Door contact ON" position.

The lamps are switched on and off by a soft dimming circuit.

If the PSE (A37) receives the message "ATA alarm ON", the front dome lamp with reading lamp (E15/2) and rear dome lamp (E15/3) switch on when the door contact switch in the front dome lamp with reading lamp (E15/2) is in the "ON" position.
