Networking
- The oil sensor (oil level, temperature and quality B40) is read in by the injection system control module (N3). The values "oil level, oil temperature and oil quality" are output by the injection system control module (N3) as a message over the engine compartment CAN.
- The coolant temperature sensor (B11/4) is read in by the injection system control module (N3). The temperature value is output as a message over the engine compartment CAN.
- The crankshaft position sensor (L5) is read in by the injection system control module (N3). The injection system control module (N3) calculates the engine speed from the pulses of the sensor and outputs a corresponding message over the engine compartment CAN.
- The speed sensors (L6/1, L6/2, L6/3, L6/4) are read in by the traction systems control module (N47). The traction systems control module (N47) calculates the wheel speeds from the pulses of the sensors and outputs the corresponding messages over the engine compartment CAN. The instrument cluster (A1) receives these messages and calculates from them the vehicle speed and the distance driven.
