General
Operation of the Active Service System is carried out via the reset button of the instrument cluster (A1), which is located on the left side (models 203, 208 and 210) or on the right side (models 215 and 220) of the instrument cluster (A1), and via the button for forward and backward scrolling (S110s1) as well as the system selection button (S110s3) of the multifunction steering wheel.

Service display on diver's demand
- Starter switch in "1", "2" or driving position.
- Operate the system selection button (S110s3) until the complete overview (total mileage and trip odometer) is displayed in the multifunction display (A1p13). (Only required, if the complete overview is not yet displayed.)
- Operate the forward and backward scrolling button until the service symbol and the actual remaining mileage, the remaining time or the service exceeded indication appears.

Display engine oil level display
- Turn starter switch to position "2".
- Operate the system selection button (S110s3) until the complete overview (total mileage and trip odometer) is displayed in the multi-function display (A1p13). (Only required, if the complete overview is not yet displayed.)
- Operate the forward and backward scrolling button (S110s1) until the oil can symbol and the message "ENGINE OIL LEVEL, CAR MUST BE LEVEL" appears in the multifunctional display (A1p13).
- If the car is not level: Interrupt indication by continued operation of this buttons within 3 seconds.
- If the indication is not interrupted, the message "OIL LEVEL MEASURING OPERATING" will appear after approx. 3 seconds. followed by the actual oil level indication. If the car is not level during the oil level measurements, inaccurate measurements can occur.


Resetting the ASSYST after oil change (Oil change reset) on instrument cluster (A1)


CAUTION:
Carry out resetting of ASSYST (Oil change reset) only after an oil change!
If possible, the oil change reset should be carried out with the Star diagnostic tool!



- Bring starter switch in position "1".
- Operate the system selection button (S110s3) until the complete overview (total mileage and trip odometer) is displayed in the multi-function display (A1p13). (Only required, if the complete overview, is not yet displayed.)
- Operate the forward and backward scrolling button until the service symbol and the actual remaining mileage, the remaining time or the service exceeded indication appears.
- Operate the reset button on the instrument cluster (A1) for approx. 5 Seconds. until the message "DO YOU WANT TO RESET THE SERVICE INTERVAL? CONFIRM BY PRESSING THE R BUTTON" appears in the multifunctional display (A1p13).
- Press again the reset button in the instrument cluster (A1) within 5 sec.
- The actual "Remaining mileage" of 15,000 Km or 10,000 miles will appear in the multi-function display (A1p13).


NOTE: An inadvertently triggered oil change reset can only be reversed with the Star diagnosis tool.
