Task
- Analyses the input signals and controls the following systems:
- Fuel supply
- Injected quantity control
- Emission control system
- Boost pressure control (Engine 605.960)
- Cruise control (AT only)
- Modulating pressure switchover (AT with CC only)
- A/C compressor shutoff
- Monitors input/output, checks plausibility and stores faults
- Forms substitute value if no signal (emergency running)
- Diagnosis (output of stored faults)

Function
The IFI control module (N3/7) is supplied with voltage (terminal 87 unfused) by the overvoltage protection relay (K1) or relay module (K40).
It detects the input signals and actuates the outputs in line with the operating conditions.
