Task
Reducing irregular running (vibrations) which occur when engine idling.

Function
The IFI control module (N3/7) is supplied with an engine speed signal by the IFI/DFI crankshaft position sensor (L5/6) and detects any irregularities in engine speed. These engine speed irregularities are eliminated by controlling the quantity of fuel injected at specific cylinders. As a result, idle speed remains constant.
